Affirming Practice: Creating safer spaces
This interactive professional development workshop equips participants with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to foster safer, more inclusive spaces for people of all genders and sexualities. Through reflective activities, case studies, and group discussion, we’ll unpack social norms, bias, and the everyday impact of exclusion. Participants will deepen their understanding of gender and sexual diversity and explore practical strategies for affirming practice when working with diverse people.
Whether you're new to this space or seeking to build on existing practice, this workshop will challenge assumptions, spark insight, and support meaningful, lasting change in your professional context.

Sexuality, Self, and Society
This engaging, activity-rich workshop offers a guided exploration of sexuality, culture, and personal values. Sexuality, Self & Society invites participants to reflect deeply on their own experiences, assumptions, and beliefs around sex, bodies, identity, and relationships.
Through interactive activities, media analysis, and group reflection, we’ll unpack the social, cultural, and institutional forces that shape our understandings of sexuality and explore what it means to hold space for others with care, curiosity, and confidence. Participants will leave with greater self-awareness, an expanded perspective on diversity, and renewed clarity in their personal and professional practice.

Understanding and responding to coercive control in young people's relationships
This professional development workshop supports educators to recognise and respond to coercive control in young people’s relationships, both intimate and platonic. While often hidden or misinterpreted, coercive control can significantly impact a young person’s wellbeing, autonomy, and sense of safety.
Drawing on current research, this interactive session unpacks how gender norms and peer dynamics can mask abuse, what coercive control looks like in adolescent contexts, and how school staff can offer meaningful support.
